Cibola National Wildlife Refuge Permits & Passes

Welcome to Cibola National Wildlife Refuge Passes & Permits
Please be sure to see any new changes in RED!

The Cibola National Wildlife Refuge will continue using a lottery-based reservation system to allocate hunting permits for Unit II goose hunting blinds for the 2012/2013 hunting season. Reservations will be available for Tuesday-Wednesday and Saturday-Sunday hunt periods starting on November 24, 2012 through the end of goose hunting season. (Refer to Arizona Game and Fish 2012-2013 Waterfowl Regulations). No hunt blinds will be available between December 14 and 16, 2012, during the annual youth waterfowl camp. Any questions may be directed to the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge at 928-857-3253, Ext 111.

Hunters may be selected for a maximum of one hunt block, and may bring up to three companions to hunt in the reserved blind. For example, an applicant may be drawn for one weekend totaling two hunt days during the 2012-2013 hunting season. However, a standby drawing will be held at 4:30 a.m. (MST) each hunt morning to fill non-reserved blinds and reservation no-shows. Hunters may hunt as standby hunters as many times as they wish. All reservation permit holders will choose one of the fourteen available blinds (lowest permit number choosing first) on the morning of each hunt day.

A $15.00 application fee is required for all hunters applying for permits. Application registration will be the only online payment required. All successful applicants and their companion hunters, including standby, will pay the $15.00 per day Hunt Fee on site at the hunt briefing. Kinsail will be taking applications starting September 3rd, ending October 5, 2012. Applicants will be notified via email by October 19th if they have been selected for the hunt. Hunters unable to apply online may also request a paper application form from the refuge office. Any paper forms must be sent to Cibola NWR, Attn: Kinsail Corporation, PO Box 7087, Arlington, VA 22207 and received by October 5, 2012 to be considered. All checks, money orders, or cashiers checks must be made out to Kinsail Corporation. For a copy of updated Unit II hunt regulations contact or visit the refuge office.

All incomplete and illegible applications will not be considered in the drawing process. Applications without required fees will also be discarded. Hunters are reminded that those applying for dates in January 2013 must have a 2013 Arizona hunting license number to participate in the reservation drawing for blinds.

NOTE* A returned check will result in automatic disqualification from the hunt for this hunt season and may result in a $25.00 returned check fee.

Hunt Applications
Cibola NWR offers annual goose hunting opportunities through controlled spaced-blinds. To participate, hunters must submit an application for the hunt. Applicants will be randomly selected for hunt dates that are selectable during the application process. Successful hunters will be guaranteed a blind. Those that aren't selected will be offered hunt opportunities via a standby permit system. Applications will be open from September 3, 2012 until October 5, 2012.
